THE COWS 

Selling approximately 90 head of mature milking cows w/approx. 30 head being 1^st calf heifers.  60 head fresh from October thru January and the balance due March thru June.  The cows are predominantly Holstein with some crossbred Brown Swiss.  They all carry service to a Red & White Holstein herd sire.  The herd was AI bred for many years but a good yard bull has been used for the last few years.  These cattle are bunk & computer fed, housed in free stalls, and milked in a double 6 Herringbone parlor w/automatic take-offs.  These cows are not pampered and not pushed for peak production.  They are currently averaging 50 - 55 lbs. in the tank with a 3.89% BF test  &  3.08% SNF. The feet, legs and udders are fine.  You'll find some cows here that will work anywhere.

 THE HEIFERS

This is the most heifer prolific herd that I have ever been around.  The Hiner herd has consistently run about 75% heifer calves.  Selling approx. 20 head of springing heifers (a few will freshen before the sale) followed by a group of 30 head that have been exposed to a bull since Dec. 2, 2009. (most are confirmed pregnant);  The next group of 30 head consists of mostly yearlings to breeding age, and the last group of  20  will be calves 4 months and under.

 The cows and bred heifers will be pregnancy checked prior to the auction and health vac.  will be updated.  The herd is not calfhood vac.  The herd is not on official test but two samples will be taken prior to the auction w/production announced at sale.

 SALE ORDER:  Starting w/a wagon load of misc, feeding equip., gates etc. (maybe 2 rings) then feed, milking equipment & semen followed by the cows NLT 11:30 ending with heifers.
